Companies may advertise goods and services. However, advertising must be honest, clear, and accurate. Misleading advertising is prohibited.
- When is advertising misleading?
Advertising is misleading if the information is incorrect, incomplete, or misleads the consumer.
- Commercial (digital) communication
In digital advertising and promotional offers, it must always be clear that the message is commercial in nature and who is behind it. Misleading or unsolicited messages are not permitted.
