Some Aruban government publications are not subject to copyright, such as laws, ordinances, court rulings and administrative decisions. Other government publications are not part of the public domain in Aruba and may be protected by copyright. However, these works may be copied and published unless the work explicitly states that copyright is reserved.

This applies, among other things, to the AFTA logo. The AFTA reserves the copyright to its logo and therefore holds the exclusive right to its use. The AFTA does not grant permission for third parties to use its logo, as such use could create the impression of an endorsement or quality mark.
